Far Side of the World

Hey everyone!!!

I am now in Malaga, Españia!!! And I love it here! It is beautiful here!! Very latin, very cultural, ....and they have trees in the plazas!!!!

We arrived here yesterday morning. We have a great birth which is right down town, about ten minutes from everything. Plus all the internet here is cheep! Thats a great plus to this twon. We had the last day of the lecture week here yesterday and afterwards my local out reach team was in charge this week. On the last local out reach (in Ibiza) we put money together to buy snacks and drinks for the people walking around. We actually had over 300 eros and didnt spend it all so we used the left over this week. It is such a great thing to be able to give people stuff for free withpout wanting anything in return, no nothing. and the cool thing is is that they actually aproach us with questions about why we are doing this (or not) rather than us going to to people and trying to start convosations. yesterday i actually talked to quite a few people....and in spanish!! Who knew? haha Actually I have really been working on my spanish... its a bit more relivent now to me than it was in a class room in canada. its neat when you realize that you can actyually communicate with people and there is actualy a point to all of this. haha thats one of my newest revolations.

lectures have been very good and i beleieve that this week has been one of the most challenging ones for me personally. so thats.....good. haha

we have the day off today and i havnet done too much. me and some girl friends of mine went out and shopped a bit, then we went to Picasso´s house (which is actually right across the street from me right now) and saw a lot of his art work. then we walked around for a looong time trying to find food...ill try again later. we ran into some itallian guy who is hanging out with us now. he is just traveling around europe a bit and... ya. haha its neat the different personality types that you meet across the world. he says hed like to go to canada because it wçhas a lot of marajana. haha nice rep we've got, eh? haha

so life is going well. this is our last week in spain and we have only one sail left. its pretty sad, i dont really wanna leave spain and stop sailing.
