Far Side of the World

Hey you guys!

So I am now off the boat and am living at the YWAM base in portugal. The base is really neat. Its very.....unboat like. haha We are all enjoying the many pleasures of land life that we have been missing since living on the boat. Such as waking up to sunshine streaming through our windows and tropical-sounding birds singing away, also its nice to have air in the room after sleeping (there isnt much circulation in the cabins on the boat).

The base here is a typical portugies building. Its cement and doesnt have much furniture or decorations. and has a tile floor. The people on the base are mostly from Brazil and have been cooking us the most amazing brazilian food ever!

We havent been here too long and really everyday looks different. But so far we have done a day of beach missions and a day of prayer for portugal. The beach mission went....interesting. We have a bunch of stuff we gotta change for next time, but it was..and interesting experience to say the least. I dont think that ive ever seen so many people on a beach before in my life!!! we have a big, blue sign that says "can we pray for you?" in english and portugies that we set up....which ended up to be right infront of five toppless girls.... ya... i guess im not used to being in europian beaches yet, because about every third girl was toppless, weather she was 18 or 80. sick! then we went to a park with our sign and guitars and foot ball, and we got to talk to more people then....i think there were less distractions.

yesterday i went to church. really neat to see other believers worshiping the same God as me...but completely different! like i couldnt understand a word of the portugies.

well i have to run, but i hope that this up dates you a little bit on what im up to.
